Pink is definitely one of the finest films to come out this year, and also perhaps the finest courtroom dramas in recent times that Bollywood has ever made. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Taring, Angad Bedi and Piyush Mishra. Taapsee, Kirti and Andrea play three Delhi girls who are molested by a gang of rowdy boys, led by a politician’s son (Angad Bedi). When they retaliate in defence, the boys get the girls arrested on assault charges. However, the girls find an unlikely saviour in Amitabh Bachchan’s lawyer character, who also happens to be their neighbour. Throughout the hearing, the lawyer raises all pertinent question on how the society wants to question how a woman behaves, but lets the men go scot-free.

The film is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Shoojit Sircar, who has previously directed Amitabh Bachchan to a National award winning performance in Piku. As expected, the film has been getting some rave reviews from the critics as well as from the public and even from the celebs as well. One such celeb is Varun Dhawan, who is totally floored by the hard-hitting courtroom drama and has been giving out paeans about the movie on his Twitter timeline. He is persistently mentioning how he still can’t get over the experience of watching the film, while also praising the direction, the performances, especially of Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring. He also thanked Shoojit Sircar for giving this film for audience.
