We have been waiting for ages to see ex-couple Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan together onscreen for ages. Just a few days ago we found ourselves gushing over behind the scene footage of an advert they are shooting for together. And then came one mind blowing news that the gorgeous looking duo will be teaming up for Ek Tha Tiger sequel titled Tiger Zinda Hai. But, we didn’t hear any official confirmation, so it kept us from celebrating this piece. Today, putting a seal on it, YRF tweeted out the title, cast and release date announcement poster to fans. And now we are partying. Yes. It’s confirmed that Katrina and Salman have both been cast for the sequel of the romantic thriller.

Kat and Salman played ISI agent and RAW agents, respectively, in the first film, who fall for each other and elope. We know how Tiger and Zoya’s love story had so much left to say at the end of Ek Tha Tiger. I mean c’mon the two spies were still on the run together, and were being spotted at various locations all across the globe. The national security teams of India and Pakistan are not going to sit quietly on that. Also, The tagline on the poster reads “An Indian agent. A Pakistani spy. Against a common enemy…” So we can guess Kat and Salman will take down some big ass antagonist in the film who is a threat to the global security? So much in store for us. More romance, more action and more thrill is for sure on our way with Tiger Zinda Hai.

Ali Abbas Zafar replaces Kabir Khan as the director for the sequel. Salman and Ali recently churned out the blockbuster film Sultan. Kabir and Salman are teaming up for Tubelight, which will be their their collab, after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. And Kat has worked with Kabir in New York and ETT.

But you won’t believe how much we will have to wait for this one to hit the screens. The release date on poster reads Christmas 2017. 22 December, 2017, precisely. Unfortunately, there is still more than a year to go for this film. But we have already waited four years for the film, what is in a year more…

Katrina took to her Facebook page and made the same announcement. She shared the poster and captioned it “Ek tha, hai aur hamesha rahega… Tiger Zinda Hai!!!” We gotta listen to her. Don’t we?

So don’t forget that…Tiger Zinda Hai!
